Day Thirty One!

oh my goodness i did it! i wore this dress for the entire month of august, can i just say, i'm really excited it is september? if anything, this will really help me not spend money these next few months because i feel like my entire wardrobe of pants and shorts and other dresses are new again to me! i don't know how long this feeling will last, but it's good. i'm really glad i did it, it was a lot of fun and it was challenging, it was good for me to care a little less about what i wear, because really, a lot of people don't remember what you wore the last time you saw them! maybe i just have really polite friends (i mean, we are canadian...) but no one said, "wow, didn't you wear that the last 5 times i saw you?" maybe they thought it, haha you know what, who cares. i have a closet full of clothes, way too many shoes and hats and socks to choose from, i can say with full confidence i am completely and utterly blessed.

Day Thirty

Day Twenty Nine

i was very excited that it was pouring rain when i was leaving for class in the city today because it meant i got to wear my new-to-me jacket i bought on our anniversary. isn't it beautiful?! it's exactly what i need for this fall! a beautiful patterned jacket in my favorite fall colours. i'm so excited. it fits perfect and it's not too warm. i still can't believe i found it for only $5, i may be a bit pre-mature in wearing it but it's finds like this that are making me so eager to but on my boots and over the knee socks and embrace the season! i am really excited that the sun will make an appearance this weekend though. soak up the last bit of summer and hopefully do a bit of reading in the sun.

i've been going through the psalms this month, those are some emotional scriptures. i'll leave you with a verse from chapter 66 that has been on my mind this week.

"come and listen, all you who fear god, let me tell you what he has done for me. i cried out to him with my mouth, his praise was on my tongue. if i had cherished sin in my heart, the lord would not have listened, but god has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. praise be to god who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!"

Day Twenty Eight

today is cozy! i just baked some apple strudel muffins so my house smells cinnamony and sweet.

today is rainy and wet, i spent the day in white rock and had a nice dinner with my dad, ate way too much enchilada and that's about it!

Day Twenty Six

today feels autumny, dark clouds and light showers. catching up on blogging, cleaning and having dinner with a good friend. hope your day is good and relaxing. i'm listening and falling in love with the brilliance, so good.

Day Twenty Five

today was full of church and farmers market, so good. i went to church this morning with my friend monika, and then on the way home stopped by the farmers market. it's only a few blocks from my house every sunday! i'm so excited about that, i wish it was there all year long, but for now it's a nice treat! dan and i spent the evening at our home church it was a really great night, we had a bbq and got to spend lots of time just hanging out and having some really great conversations with friends

Day Twenty Four

today was my first day of work! eep! it was awesome, i basically just played with flowers and learned how to make bouquets and centerpieces! fun!

Day Twenty Three

i just realized this outfit is very aussie inspired, the top i got one of the first few days we were there at a big vintage fair we went to right on the beach, that was a really fun night. the hat is dan's "bushtucka" hat his oma and opa bought for him. my birkenstocks i got on our road trip in byron bay, my big splurge of that trip for sure.

dan bought a surf board and i bought these on a warm rainy day in byron bay. it was so rainy, i remember we cooped ourselves up in a tiny little cafe so we could charge everything (phones, camera's & laptops) and drank mocha's and ate wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce...oh yum, take me back. it poured for the most part of that day, but when it wasn't raining we snuck out to the beach and watched people surf, and the beautiful thing is even when it rains it's still so warm there. we parked right outside of town on a semi-secluded beach under a bunch of trees, we watched blue crush that night we bought earlier in a pawn shop, the rain was so loud on the van all through the night, i loved that. we woke up and the sun was shining, walked 30 feet to a stunning beach and dan surfed and i tanned and watched a bunch of hippies do zumba.

Day Twenty Two

today was one of those days where i should have gotten a lot more done than i did, i'll admit it, pinterest got the best of me, i need to learn to lock my phone in a different room and stick to a job and not start diy'ing everything in my bedroom. i did make a cute new jewelry stand though, and finally did some cleaning in the kitchen. sigh. i think i'm in denial about the fact that tomorrow i start a job, first day at work since december, oh my, first day of work this year. breathe.

i'm gonna go eat pizza and 5 cent candies now.

Day Twenty One

Today was a good day

Day Twenty | 3 Years!

yay for 3 years with this handsome man. today was a fantastic day spent out and about (i'll post more later!) it's been the best 3 years, full of adventures, we've had a year in australia, lots of little holidays spent in palm desert, seaside oregon, whistler, toured around the states with hey ocean together... my only travelling goal before we reach our fourth is to take this guy to disneyland, i can't believe it hasn't happened yet, we've been talking about it since we were dating!

Day Nineteen

well the sun is finally shining now, but it was not near making an appearance when i was on my way to class at 8 this morning! i will admit though i was enjoying the cozy feeling of fall approaching, i can't wait for big sweaters and cozy socks, scarves and boots. it's 5 o'clock and i'm on my third cup of coffee today, i'm probably going to regret it tonight but i just couldn't resist.

Day Eighteen

sunday sunday sunday, started off an early morning at life church in white rock leading worship with danny boy... an afternoon triple o' put us in a bit of a food coma, and then to another really amazing service at our home church trinity & main in vancouver, it was a really great meeting, i love my church.

i'm listening to the new ablum right now by yes nice, and loving it.

Day Seventeen

sooo i think i spent most of today sitting in front of my laptop working on my business plan for youth mean business, fun times. the rest of the day was spent doing a little updating on this website! i thought it needed a bit of love and a bit of a facelift, we've been talking a lot lately about wanting to record another klenner album, it's too bad we never got the chance to while we were in australia, but hopefully soon we will have time to getterdone, i'm thinking it won't be until dan has an actual physical studio set up other than our living room, i'm excited for that day.

Day Sixteen

today my friends lindsey & morgan got married! we had such a fun time at the wedding, dan & i played a few songs during the outdoor ceremony and it ended up being a really hot day! it was supposed to rain, thankfully it didn't, it was such a beautiful wedding! it was at swan e set out in pitt meadows (where happy gilmore was filmed!) it really was a fun wedding, dan and i danced our faces off it was great, nothing beats a live band full of your friends playing really great covers, it was a lot of fun.

Day Fifteen

i really didn't feel like wearing a dress today, so a pair of jeans and a comfy cardi, and i'm good to go, it was rainy and cold and i just could not be bothered! also, my hair is getting long! yayy, i've been feeling a little over the drastic ombre these past few weeks, we will see about that one! i don't think i want to rid of it completely but maybe make it a bit more subtle as it get's longer.

i am tired and off to bed, big day tomorrow, gotta get my dancing shoes on and ready to celebrate our friends lindsey & morgan tomorrow! i can't wait!

Day Fourteen

yes, yes the fruitbowl is empty, i've been to busy this week to head to the shop! dan has been recording in white rock everday, and i've had stuff going on too, so lots of back and fourth, but going to wr also means lots of trips to the klenners veggie garden, my fridge is bursting with fresh lettuce, carrots, zucchini, beans & herbs! i dream of the day i have a house or space with any sort of yard where i can have my own garden! maybe it's because where i live i don't have that option and it makes me want it all the more!

today has been rainy. so rainy. but warm! muggy. we had a rehearsal for our friends wedding coming up on friday! it's going to be beautiful, we get to sing a few songs at the ceremony, and it's not going to rain! i can't wait.

Day Thirteen

please pardon the tired in my eyes, today was a bright and early one, but i did get a chance to snap these before i hopped in the car to spend the day in white rock. dan has been recording drums for this album he is working on all week, at a sanctuary in white rock, it is sounding sweet and i can't wait to hear the finished product, it's not a new klenner album (i wish!) but a singer in perth who dan has been working with through his friend who is a producer over there! this week is a bit full on but next week i made him schedule in at least a dinner with his wife of whatwillbethreeyears on tuesday!

Day Twelve

i finally caught up on house work today, i won't even say when the last time i vacuumed was, honestly because i don't remember. it feels so good to do an super deep cleanse of our apartment! i dropped off a few things at salvos and got to buy a few groceries and cook up a mean dinner, i'm feeling pretty house wifey today...haha
